About

My name is Clifford Suddeth, but just about everyone I know calls me Clip. I have been married to Mary since October 2004, and we have a son, Isaac, who was born on March 17, 2012.

I trusted Christ as my Savior when I was six years old, and I know I was saved by His grace. I know there was nothing in me that wanted Him, but in love He brought me to Himself.

I grew up at Mile Straight Baptist Church in Soddy Daisy, TN, and I had the privilege to serve on the pastoral staff from June 1998 – December 2014.

My family and I have been serving as missionaries with Global Faith Mission Agency since 2015. After spending a year in Costa Rica learning Spanish, we have since lived in the country of Panamá. In February 2020, with a core group of committed Christians, we started Iglesia Bautista de Costa Verde in the community where we live.

Our desire is to have a spiritually healthy local church that exalts God, edifies believers, and evangelizes the lost. As we reach people with the gospel and disciple them, we long to train and equip men who are called by God to pastor and send them out to start other biblical local churches.

I graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1994, with a B.S. in Political Science. Once I knew that God was calling me to go into full-time ministry, I earned a Masters of Religious Education from Temple Baptist Seminary in 1999. I then earned a Doctor of Educational Ministry, with a concentration in church leadership from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2008. The focus of my doctoral project was team-based ministry.
